Huck is published by Farpine LLC. By downloading or using Huck you agree to these terms. If you got Huck from the App Store, you also agree to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies to apps distributed through the App Store. If you got it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply to the download and to any purchase, and these terms are the license between you and us.
Huck is a map, not an authority
Huck is for reference and planning. Do not rely on it as your only means of navigation, and do not rely on it for safety. Trail, road and boundary data comes from public agency sources and is reproduced as published. It can be out of date, incomplete or simply wrong. Gates move, trails wash out, closures happen mid-season, and boundaries in the app are simplified.
- Where a sign, a gate, a closure order, a land manager or the printed regulations disagree with Huck, they are correct and Huck is not.
- Hunt unit and controlled hunt boundaries are simplified to roughly 650 feet and must not be used to decide whether you are legally inside a unit. The current Idaho Fish and Game regulations govern.
- A route or road shown in Huck is not a statement that it is open, passable, safe, or that you have a right to be on it. Seasonal dates describe when a route is legally open, not when it is free of snow or washouts.
- Weather forecasts come from the US National Weather Service and are forecasts, not guarantees.
Carry a paper map and a compass, tell someone where you are going, and use your own judgment. You are responsible for your own safety and for obeying the law where you travel.
Huck+ subscription
- Huck+ is an auto-renewing annual subscription. The price shown in the app is the price for your storefront, set through Apple on iPhone and through Google Play on Android.
- On the App Store, payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. On Android, payment is charged through Google Play, to the payment method on your Google account, at confirmation of purchase — or, if the app offers you a free trial, when the trial ends, unless you cancel before then.
- On the App Store, the subscription renews automatically at the same price unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- On Google Play, the subscription renews automatically at the same price unless it is canceled before the renewal date. Google Play may charge for the renewal up to 48 hours before the new period begins.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings, or on Android in Google Play, under Payments & subscriptions. Canceling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the period already paid for.
- Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. For a Google Play purchase, ask within 48 hours of the charge, at Google Play's refund page; Google Play's refund policies apply. After 48 hours we do not refund Google Play purchases, except where the law requires it — if you think it does, write to us at support@gohuck.app.
- Canceling or letting Huck+ lapse leaves the free features — the offline maps, GPS, track recording, waypoints, search and turn-by-turn to trailheads — working as before. Your tracks and waypoints are on your device and are not affected.
Acceptable use
You may use Huck for your own recreational and professional navigation. You may not redistribute, resell or bulk-extract the map data Huck ships, or use the app to build a competing dataset. The underlying public agency data is available directly from those agencies, and you are welcome to it there.
No warranty
Huck is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Farpine LLC is not liable for any injury, loss or damage arising from the use of Huck or from reliance on the data it displays.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top changes with them, and continuing to use Huck after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
